As a native-born Austrian I'm the exception to the Pro Active English-Team.
|
|
Nevertheless, English is a very dear to me since I am married to an
|
|
American, Mike Walt.
|
|

|
I spent my early years growing up in Guntramsdorf in Lower Austria until I
|
|
got married. After the wedding I spent a semester in Chicago while Mike finished
|
|
his degree and I did research for my Masters Thesis. Since then, we live in Pfaffstätten.
|
|

|
|
In April 2006 I successfully finished my degree in History and Spanish at the
|
|
University of Vienna, and am expectantly looking forward to working as a teacher
|
|
myself.
|

|
While I was working on my degree I had the opportunity to work a lot of different
|
|
jobs and gather a wide variety of work-experience including: tutoring children and
|
|
teaching adults Spanish, as well as working in an Antique book store in Baden, at
|
|
the counter for the Post Office, at the Baden City Library, and at the Merkurmarkt
|
|
basically all the things one does next to the studies to earn a buck.

In my free time I lead a youth group with my husband in the Evangelical Church in Baden.
|
|
I love to read, spend a lot of time outdoors, and to meet with friends and family.
|
|

Als gebürtige Österreicherin bin eher die Ausnahme im Pro Active English-Team.
|
|
Trotzdem ist Englisch eine besonders herzensnahe Sprache für mich, da ich mit
|
|
einem Amerikaner, Mike Walt, verheiratet bin.
|
|

|
Aufgewachsen bin ich in Guntramsdorf, Niederösterreich. Nach meiner Hochzeit
|
|
war ich ein Semester in Chicago, wo Mike sein Studium abgeschlossen hat. Mittlerweile
|
|
wohnen wir in Pfaffstätten.
|
|

Im April 2006 habe ich mein Studium (Lehramt Spanisch und Geschichte) an der Universität
|
|
Wien erfolgreich abgeschlossen und freue mich schon, selbst als Lehrerin tätig zu sein.
|

<paragraph>
|
|
Während meines Studentendaseins habe ich viel verschiedene Berufserfahrungen machen
|
|
können: von Nachhilfe bis hin zu Kinder- und Erwachsenenkursen in Spanisch, sowie
|
|
Anstellungen bei einem Bücherantiquariat, bei der Badener Post als Schalterbedienstete,
|
|
bei der Stadtbücherei Baden, beim Merkurmarkt Baden...was man halt alles so tut, um
|
|
sich neben dem Studium etwas dazuzuverdienen. Von jeder dieser Tätigkeiten habe ich
|
|
jedoch einiges gelernt.

In meiner Freizeit leite ich mit meinem Mann gemeinsam eine Jugendgruppe bei der
|
|
Freievangelikalen Gemeinde in Baden.
|
|

|
|
<paragraph>
|
|
Ich liebe es zu lesen, viel Zeit im Freien zu verbringen, und Familie und Freunde
|
|
zu treffen.
