<paragraph>I was born in Romania but moved to Canada with my family after the fall of the Communist regime at the beginning of the 1990’s. I grew up and went to school in Toronto, however for my undergraduate studies, I decided to leave the parental nest and move to Ottawa where I completed a Bachelors (Hons) in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science. </paragraph>

<paragraph>I have always had an avid interest in learning languages, discovering new cultures, and exploring the unknown. ‘Unknown’ to me was also Austria up until March 2007, when I arrived here ‘equipped’ with only a suitcase, some German, and numerous guide books and maps on Austria and Vienna. One year later, I’m still exploring and the more things I find out about Austria, its culture, and its people the longer I want to stay here.</paragraph>

<paragraph>My exploration is also made easy by being an English Trainer. Teaching and learning English is not only about grammar and vocabulary but it is also about getting to know people of various backgrounds with unique and interesting personalities and it’s about the exchange of knowledge and of life experience. As an English trainer, my level of contentment and gratification doubles when I see my students not only making progress in English, as a language, but also learning and exchanging ‘life lessons and experiences’. And all of that through English! </paragraph>

<paragraph>Ich bin in Rumänien geboren aber sehr bald, nach dem Fall des kommunistischen Regimes zu Beginn der 1990er Jahre, mit meiner Familie nach Kanada ausgewandert.</paragraph>
|
||
<paragraph>Aufgewachsen und zur Schule gegangen bin ich in Toronto . Danach beschloss ich, das elterliche Nest zu verlassen und ging nach Ottawa wo ich die Universität mit einem Bachelor (Hons) in Kriminologie und Kriminaljustiz mit Nebenfach Politik-wissenschaften abschloß.</paragraph>

<paragraph>Ich hatte immer schon ein lebhaftes Interesse daran, Sprachen zu erlernen, neue Kulturen zu entdecken und das Unbekannte zu erforschen. </paragraph>
|
||
<paragraph>Unbekannt war mir auch Österreich bis März 2007, als ich hier mit nur einem Koffer, wenig Deutschkenntnissen und vielen Reiseführern und Stadtplänen von Österreich und Wien ankam. Ein Jahr spatter bin ich immer noch am Erforschen und je mehr ich von Österreich, seiner Kultur und den Menschen hier herausfinde, desto länger will ich hier bleiben.</paragraph>

<paragraph>Erleichtert werden meine Forschungen durch meine Tätigkeit als Englisch Trainer. Das Lehren und Erlernen von Englisch besetht nicht nur aus Grammatik und Vokabeln, sondern bedeutet auch das Kennenlernen von Menschen verschiedenster Herkunft mit einzigartigen und interessanten Persönlichkeiten und es bedeutet Austausch von Wissen und Lebenserfahrung. Es bereitet mir große Freude , wenn ich als Englisch Trainer sehe, dass meine Studenten nicht nur Fortschritte in der englischen Sprache machen, sondern auch Erkenntnisse und Erfahrungen furs Leben lernen und miteinander austauschen. </paragraph>
