Partnerships –

some  Principles  and  Experience

1.   Missions are specialists and Churches are generalists.

2.   Therefore, Partnerships between churches and missions should be focussed on specific tasks and relationships that relate to the strengths and assets of the international mission partner.

6.   A clear written understanding, protocol, or contract should be prepared, agreed to, and signed by both parties.  It helps our memory and the memory of others who follow.

7.   The management of funds and workers should be worked out and agreed upon.

8.   Good communication should take place regularly between the responsible leaders.

9.   Misunderstandings should be resolved within a context of mutual commitment and spiritual maturity.
