Carter's Ministry Moments from 18.Jan.04

welcome to a new year partners, and thanks for your faithfulness in praying during 2003! without your prayers, only God knows what might have happened to this ministry and our family -- but we rejoice with you that He has allowed us to be very fruitful for His Kingdom one more year

this year saw us go through several "once-in-a-lifetime" type of transitions, e.g. -- adopting David, finishing well with IT after 15-20 years of service, starting an exciting new ministry, watching the Lord provide a new home and ministry center here in Austria ... whew, I'm getting exhausted just typing out these top 5 !! but God has equipped, empowered, and provided for our every need -- for which we are very thankful to our Father ... and to you for praying us through

tomorrow I leave on a 4-day trip for the "Hope for Europe" working group, and would appreciate your prayers for effective ministry and planning time

last week-end Leanne helped kick-off the first few sessions for a new women's group she is organizing for "Hope for the Wounded" -- it was a tremendous success, and she's looking forward to the next 12 weeks with these women ... pray that the Lord would continue to move and work in their midst

baseball season is just around the corner, can't you just taste the hot dogs now? we are conducting clinics on 4 week-ends over the next couple months, starting next Saturday -- pray for God's wisdom and insight for our involvement in our local Little League

on Tuesday, 27.Jan, our steering committee for the "Pray Vienna" city reaching initiative is holding a special event for all Christian workers/ pastors to envision them for prayer and evangelism in our city -- pray that those God would like to attend will come and be encouraged

pray too, for our furlough planning (and for the necessary finances) as we look forward to re-connecting with many of you in North America this summer

gotta run home to pack ... thanks again for standing with us
