1. Christ is the final, ultimate messenger (chapter 1)

   1. He is heir of all things

   2. He is the means of creation

   3. He is the radiance of His glory

   4. He is the exact representation of His nature

   5. He upholds all things by the word of His power

   6. He made purification of sins

   7. He sat down at the right hand of God

   8. He became better than the angels

      1. God has declared Him a son
      2. God declares that all angels should work Him
      3. Angels are God's ministers
      4. Christ has a throne
      5. Christ remains forever
      6. Christ will rule his enemies
      7. Angels are ministers to the inheritors

2. Pay attention to the message (chapter 2:1-4)

   1. So that we do not drift

   2. We will not escape if we neglect it

   3. After Christ spoke of it:

      1. Apostles confirmed what they heard by preaching
      2. God confirmed what the apostles taught by signs, miracles, wonders

3. Men will rule the world to come (chapter 2:5-8)

   1. Angels do not have this privilege

   2. Man

      1. Is temporarily lower than the angels
      2. Crowned with glory and honor
      3. Appointed over all creation
      4. Having all things put in subjection
      5. Does not yet have all things subjected to him
