Pay attention to the message (chapter 2:1-4)

So that we do not drift

We will not escape if we neglect it

After Christ spoke of it:
- Apostles confirmed what they heard by preaching
- God confirmed what the apostles taught by signs, miracles, wonders

Men will rule the world to come (chapter 2:5-8)

Angels do not have this privilege

Man
- Is temporarily lower than the angels
- Crowned with glory and honor
- Appointed over all creation
- Having all things put in subjection
- Does not yet have all things subjected to him
